Alright, it’s time for my 10th review! I managed to get a secondhand Konata Izumi Cosplay edition from someone over at MyFigureCollection! He also lived in Holland, so I could just go pick it up by train 8D
Also, now that I have a new camera that takes quality photo’s, you can click on them for a bigger view.
Konata as Haruhi, huh? It never happened in the manga, but since both Haruhi’s and Lucky Star’s anime was produced by KyoAni, they decided to make Konata a big Haruhi-fangirl. This is her outfit for her cosplay café. Here’s the clip where the other girls visit Konata at her job.
As most of you probably know, this is a special figma that got sold at Wonder Festival 2008 (Winter), so it has “EX” in front of the numbering. The box, however, looks just the same as the regular ones. There aren’t many extra parts for Kona-chan though, just 3 sets of hands (instead of the regular 4 or 5) and one face part.
Oh look at her~ Konata is so not Haruhi, but she does look really cute in her outfit~ Let’s zoom in on her face!
She comes with a regular happy face~
But she can also switch to Haruhi-mode in the blink of an eye!

Now let’s take a more detailed look at her
There are some little flaws, like some spots on her hair and bow-tie. Other than that she looks just as detailed as any other figma~ It’s nice to see her red Brigade Leader band has a safety pin, unlike figma 002 Haruhi Suzumiya’s. Figma 034 Haruhi Summer did have a safety pin on the band, but that one came out half a year later.
Let’s get Tsukasa and Kagami to join the fun!

is it really rare?
Well it’s a special released on a Japanese event, so you won’t be able to get it in stores like ‘regular’ figma. That’s why its number is EX001 as opposed to a normal number. Expect to pay more for any EX or SP figma.
